The center hole is 1.5" and you could easily enlarge it to 3" if your project called for it. The bottom is fitted with seven brass inserts and two holes for anchoring or securing the float. Our professional level float can easily handle the heaviest of pumps. We have multiple fountains ranging from 1/2 horsepower to 1 horsepower.
